Modern regulations put emphasis on analytical methods that are capable of separating critical analyte pairs for identification and quantitation. To meet experimental separation goals and exceed regulatory requirements, new gas chromatography (GC) column selectivities are now essential. In this webinar, Dr. Ramkumar Dhandapani will explore advances in GC column selectivity and provide method development tips to help solve challenging chromatographic problems. A variety of important and popular analytical methods will be explored, including:
Environmental applications:
- Fast, single-column separation of dioxins and substituted furans
- Fast analysis of PAH and PCBS using unique GC column selectivity
- Overcoming challenges in semi-volatile organic compounds analysis
- Purgeable Organic Compound analysis on an MS-certified 624 Phase
Food testing applications:
- Fast fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) analysis
- Column selectivity for multiclass pesticide analysis
- Fast PAH and PCB separation in food
Key learning objectives:
- Learn about new GC solutions for environmental and food testing
- Learn how to utilize novel GC column selectivities during method development
- Learn how to optimize a GC method for cannabis terpenes and residual solvents on a single column
- Evaluate new GC column selectivities to test for dioxins, PAHs, pesticides, semi-volatiles, and volatiles via GC
Who should attend?
- GC and GC-MS method development scientists that are interested in optimizing POP (persistent organic pollutant) methods
- Scientists in environmental and food testing labs that are looking to increase the performance and productivity of their GC analytical methods
- Chromatographers who are looking to improve their current residual solvent and organic volatile GC methods with an alternative column or technique for faster and more effective separation
Presenter: Ramkumar Dhandapani, Ph.D. (Global product manager of gas chromatography, Phenomenex)
Dr. Ramkumar Dhandapani has been in the chromatographyindustry for over 15 years with hands-on and troubleshooting experience. He earnta masters and Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry from Seton Hall University, with specialization in microextractions, multidimensional gas chromatographyand tandem mass spec techniques. He has developed and validated severalregulatory-compliant methods for the pharmaceutical, food, fuel, and environmentalindustries, as well as incorporated method improvement and troubleshootingacross a range of GC techniques. Dr. Dhandapani joined Phenomenex in 2014 andserves as the global product manager of gas chromatography at Phenomenex. Inaddition to managing the GC product line, Dr. Dhandapani presents oninnovations in gas chromatography at various chromatography conferences.
